Wow! I really like this netbook. I had no problem following the instructions in the installation manual and battery charger for the first time. The rest of the process was simple, because the operating system has brought me the steps. I totally think this is the way to go if you need computing power in motion, but not all the features of notebook computers. Its great for reading e-mail, word processing alone, and, Of course, talk to your grandkids built-in webcam. Screen size is very clear and I am thinking of buying an external DVD drive for him, so that I or my grandchildren to watch movies anywhere! I particularly liked the "plug n play" USB ports, and how the operating system detects new devices that are connected without rebooting the system. When you need a little PC, but not great amount of PC
I had the opportunity to try before notebooks and have been satisfied with the small screen, a keypad, and "cheap" toy sensation. However, when given the opportunity to review ECAFE, I jumped on it. I'm a Mac user, but sometimes you need a PC for work. That's where this comes in really handy.
The main reason why I needed a PC was so that I could do some work that requires a remote PC. I'm happy to report that this netbook works great for that. Recently a friend needed to use your printer at home and have done the work more easily through the PC. I have taken this PC a couple of fairs and it was all necessary. It is smaller and slightly lighter than my 13 'MacBook and was able to put it in a little messenger bag. I do not I have tried to use it for heavy computer ... only e-mails and surf the Internet. But as for your information, does not meet the specifications for online games such as World of Warcraft.
I had a little trouble for the battery correctly, but after a couple of attempts, it is working fine. I think that the design blue bamboo is nice and the keyboard is a little better than other netbooks I've tried. The netbook is approximately 10.75 inches wide by 7.5 and the screen is 8.75 by 5 inches, which is 10 "diagonal. I have not tested this one yet, but I found ideal to lead the netbooks as a computer to show a presentation on When you have to bring your own projector and laptop.
I'm giving this 5 stars because I think it's a good netbook. I'm not giving 5 stars as a full-powered equipment. So when you need a little PC, but not a lot of PC, ECAFE may be the machine for you.

My first netbook!
This is my first netbook, and so far I love it! I have nothing to compare it with, but other netbooks I looked online and in stores, and ECAFE seems on par with other brands on the market right now in terms processor speed, RAM, screen size etc. A notable feature of the stand-out of ECAFE is the 250GB hard drive, which seems very generous of standards force. The addition of a power cord for use in Europe is a nice touch for travelers. The 46-page printed manual Member is a welcomed changed from a pdf. In the hard disk, however, I found half of it was about using the various components of OpenOffice, and not that important things like improving your RAM. One important thing it tells you is how to restore the state ECAFE factory, if you need to do this in the future.

These specifications are on par with current competing models, possibly with the exception of the bigger hard drive. The large N wi-fi to connect at faster speeds when available. The long life 6 cell battery, fully charged, reported about 7 hours of charging time for me, although as with laptops regular, this varies depending on usage.

The accounts of 6-cell battery for at least half the weight of the netbook. The keyboard is very nice, and I love the style of Chiclet keys. They a good feel for them, and while only 88% the size of a standard keyboard, I found the adjustment was not so hard. With only 0.3 megapixel webcam built is something you might think is junk, but does a surprisingly good job for face to face calls with Skype. The card reader multi-format read current popular storage cards, so it makes ECAFE a great companion to a digital camera while on vacation. On the right side of ECAFE is conveniently located USB port for a mouse, leaving the other two USB ports on the left side free for USB flash drives, external drives and other peripherals DVD USB. Very well designed.

Starter Windows 7 (ie Windows 7 gimped version) provides the basic functionality of Windows 7, with an option for an upgrade fee. It works better than you might expect, but lacks of the bells and whistles like Aero, and even the basic ability to change your desktop image (albeit with the use of third party programs, the latter is possible). ECAFE software of the same brand makes the everyday tasks quickly and easily. Email Center is probably the mail program easier to set-up that have ever used. Just enter your email address and try to connect to your ISP to retrieve POP and SMTP settings automatically. Once done, the mail center is run every time you start ECAFE and automatically checks for new email. You can adjust settings if you like, but I personally like the automatic features. The Connect program makes finding and connecting to WiFi hotspots quickly and painlessly. Cameras Web Station is where you set up your webcam for use with MS Messenger, Skype, or other similar conferencing software. I have used OpenOffice a free alternative to MS Office for a number of years, and I plan to install at ECLAC. It was a pleasant surprise that was pre-installed. OO includes a word processor, spreadsheet, presentation Photos, etc, and is compatible / interchangeable with MS OFFICE. OO version is included with ECAFE v3.1, the current version (at the time of this review) is v3.2, and be sure to update. There have installed Avast! Anti-Virus software, rather my Trend Micro Internet Security 2010.
OTHER IMPRESSIONS:
* The power button is on the left column of ECLAC. Lights when the white lights. : D
* No gimmick cover, only a strong hinge, although it requires new, two hands and some mild curiosity to open.
* I ran the Windows Experience Index and received an overall rating was: 2.0
* The immediate ECAFE I found my router, and I had wireless access as soon as it entered my password.
* ECAFE lid is a nice dark blue with a design silhouette bamboo on one side and logo in the center ECAFE. The keyboard is white, the inner surface is silver and gray, while the sides and bottom are black. Overall, it's a distinctive-looking netbook, very nice.
CONCLUSION:
Guillemot French manufacturer is best known for computer and console games peripherals under the Hercules and Thrustmaster brand. From reading the website ECAFE, I discovered that it is actually the second generation Hercules netbook (versions previous running Windows XP or Linux). While I have no other netbook with which to compare, I like the CE-1000W ECAFE for its size, speed, ease of use, the features and aesthetics. I would definitely recommend to anyone in the market for a netbook to consider ECAFE.
