What would you do? Printing to a printer that connects to another Windows 7 CPU?

Hey guys, I set up a network of 4 computers. 2 Windows 7, and 2 XP. A desktop Windows 7 that has an attached printer, desktop computers xp 2, which are connected to the printer via Ethernet (in the router) and a laptop, Windows 7 OS, also connected via Ethernet. However im having problems with the laptop. See the printer, I will print, processes it, but nothing happens. At this time the print queue manager says: press, then its just there. Any ideas? How do you print a test page on a Laserjet p2015n network printer?

The printer is all set up & cabled in to the network ready to go I just need to know how to print a test page from it as none of the machines on the network have its IP address to find out & the be physically added to the printer I need the IP address
Does any one know how to print one off directly from the machine?
Yeah there's my problem the online manuals are... there not worth reading & as for the originals, well its for work & we don't have any plus the printers are in a different city so I'm talking some one through doing it :p

To print out the configuration page from the printer's control panel:

● Press the Go button until the Ready and Error lights start blinking, and then release the Go button. The Network Configuration page automatically prints when you print a Configuration page from the control panel.

Help with connecting to a printer connected to a router on a home network with XP and Mac?

I have an HP Photosmart all in one C5180 series printer. I hooked it to my wireless router via an Ethernet cable. Vista In my PC I had the opportunity to go to Printers -> Add New -> Network Printer-> and then select from the list appeared. XP on my computer, I do not know how to add the printer. I tried to make the IP Printers URL and everything. Also, do not know how to do it on my iMac. Thanks I did that, says the network host is busy, (connection on port 631) I think it was because I hadnt installed HP software. I'm doing now.

Not sure about the XP computer, but with the Mac is easy. First you have to install the driver software printer on the Mac if you have not done. Then, just open System Preferences and go to "Printers and Faxes' .. then click the + button to add a new printer, and select 'ip' from the list of available print methods. Simply type the IP address of the network where the printer is y. .. voila youre ready to print.
