printers info

i have dell comp. w/ only usb ports. i have a epson color stylus 3000 with parallel plug, any adapters avail?

i own a screen printing company, and we use the epson color stylus 3000 to print our positives before we make screens. the printers cables are the old school parallel plugs that are about 1.5 inches wide. my new computer obviously only has usb ports, and make it impossible to connect the two. is there an adapter out there that would go from parallel plug to a usb port? any help or info would be great!

You didn't say whether you have a desktop or laptop computer, but if desktop, just go to your local computer supply store and buy a parallel interface card. Install it and you are all set to connect your printer to LPT1.

USB to Parallel printer cable problem?

I have a new Dell P4 and has no parallel port. So I bought a USB to Parallel so that I could still print to my HP LaserJet 6P. I can print a good one-page document. When I try to print the entire document at a time that puts all the document in a page - so its a big bunch of mess. The workaround is to print each page individually, so a 10 page document that I to press ALT-P and just print the current page - and make it 10 times. That's a real pain. The instructions that came with the cable declaring that its compatible with my printer. Some track? I am running Windows XP Home edition, all updates, updated drivers for the HP, etc. Thanks! This is a particular problem you just mentioned. The problem is not the cable, but the USB cable drivers and the HP printer. My only suggestion that will solve your problem is that you need to clean (uninstall completely from the root) in both the usb and HP drivers. After completing restart and run the driver installation for USB 2.0, spk2 (Service Pack 2 from the MS site) of installation. Complete the installation of the USB driver and make sure your USB 2.0 ready for another operation such as USB flash RAM, and the cabin site. Start again. Now place the HP driver CD into CD-ROM and run the installation wizard and use the USB port. XP will detect the new hardware itself, if XP automatically detects and installs the driver, then put the cdrom not unless asked to. I hope that the problem should be solved. Write me if problem persists.

What is the best all in one printer that can be bought for around $ 175.00?

I just had a very very bad experience with my HP Photosmart D7160 and am having to buy another prrinter. Love to have an all-in-one. Now I use a Dell printer / scanner for scanning and was using the HP to print photos and documents related businesses. My price range may be too low for a large, I do not know. Also, do not want another HP. Any suggestions?

Canon Pixma MP530. It was first released towrads the end of 2k6 and nothing has come along yet outstrip as number 1. Supplies are low cost when used an inkjet ink consideration should be tremendous .. The print quality is very good. It is also quite fast for a printer in this price range. Also has a flatbed scanner. For slots for media cards would have to pass to the PIXMA MP830, but may be outside their range prices.

Need help setting up my printer.?

I have problems setting up my HP Deskjet 6540, had a new hard disk and cannot get put in the computer to recognize / configure the printer. Any help?

First, so you'll need the CD that came with the printer to configure it. If you does not, then you will not be able to configure it. you can probably drive you need. just burn it to CD. Google if necessary.
