Why I can not print from open office?

He just got a lexmark z640, installed it on my laptop (Basic Operation Vista) says the printer is ready (in the control panel) but when I try to print from the office OOPEN writing or any type of file through Adobe pdf, who says you can not find the default printer and when I select the Lexmark printer that will not let me choose the tab you can is gray (so trivial you select) HELP! I'm not too smart in the PC all I want to do is print a letter! creepy - is set as the default printer on the control panel - I still think may be something to do with sight, nothing seems to work on it!

Is it normal for an all in one printer to make a low whistling noise when plugged in?

I just bought a new Lexmark X2500 all in one printer blank. I was really excited about it until it began its implementation. I plugged in, and immediately took lke a buzzing / hissing noise is maintained although turn off the printer. Is that normal? Ive never heard any noise from normal printer ym. I havent tried to print to it, however, since it can return and finish buy a different one, but I read some comments that were horrible about it. Would it be better just buying a different printer, even a simple normal printer?

This hiss is not normal for any printer. Most probably there is a loose connection or other defect in its power supply.

lexmark all in one printer/scanner/fax help?

i just recently got the lexmark all in one printer/fax/scanner x1100, i put in the cd that i got with it and thought i had installed the device and everything needed, but i can't seem to find it anywhere in my computer, i've done a search for it and everything. but i dont know what to do, when i try to uninstall it so i can maybe reinstall it, i still don't see it anywhere. does anyone know what i can do at all? i'm really confused as to what myy next move should be in this. thanks in advance.

Sorry for asking the silly question, did you install the software BEFORE attaching the printer? If so, uninstall the software, disconnect the printer, reinstall the software with printer disconnected until prompted.

Where I can find the OCR software for my Dell AIO Printer A920?

A client gave me his Dell AIO Printer A920, but had no software disks original. I like to scan documents into Microsoft Word, except I get a message telling me I should install the OCR software application that comes with the original disks. Can anyone help me find where you can download this?
