I recently purchased a new Dell (Vista-Home Prem). Data had my 4 yr.old Dell (XP Pro) transferred and was told that many of my desktop applications would have to be re-installed. It turns out that one of these desktop applications was the "HP Director" I can scan. My printer is an HP 2355 printer / scanner (4 years) and I do NOT have the configuration / installation disk from the printer. Trying to analyze manually, the printer leads me to install the HP software (which I have). No I have to buy a new printer or I can download the software in any way? Also, recently I saw an info-commercial on a printer that uses "pixel" technology instead of ink or laser. Presumably, that does not fade and is less than half the price of recharges. I think the mark of the printer may have been Fujitsu, but I'm not sure. Does anyone know about this printer? Any advice on either issue would be greatly appreciated!

It is possible the injectors are clogged ink cartridges. It should not be an option in the printer properties to clean the ink cartridge head. If that fails, do what I did last month and buy some new cartridges. It I know, it sucks, but the only thing that worked for me. At least I did not have to buy a new printer.
