My printer suddenly stopped working. What happened?

Until last week, my printer (Canon i560) was working. I have not improved at all, so I see it is a driver issue. Just change an ink cartridge that I am beginning to suspect may be the problem, but the other colors used Print should work - however, do not. When I try to print Word documents even sound like you're trying to print. When I print images, an effort is made to print but only gives me a blank sheet of paper. Does anyone know what's wrong or have experienced the same thing? Would it be wise just replace all my ink cartridges (expensive, so I'm reluctant) to see if it works? Thanks so much for any assistance you receive.

If you are using Windows, go to control panel and open the printers folder and open the icon and select Properties Canon i560 printer "option. In that dialog you will see an option to print a test page. Examine the resulting page to see if it is printed correctly. Other operating systems have a similar ability to print a test may be useful in diagnosing the problem. General suggestions of things to try to resolve printing problems for local printers are: 1) remove and replace cable connections between your computer and printer. 2) restart your computer. 3) The power of the printer until then the power is back up. Many Sometimes you perform these steps will fix the problem. If it does not work, I suspect Black cartridge ... and try to replace it. If you have the user manual (you should be capable of unloading at the Canon's website) should be able to find some addresses for a box of software tools for cleaning the cartridge and the alignment, that can provide additional help.
